To provide some background about Band of the Hills, see the list, below, of some of the music we've played in the last few years.  This list is by no means comprehensive.  At Band of the Hills we play a broad arrangement of genres and styles ranging from marches, to big-band, to soundtrack.

We're celebrating 10 years!

Band of the Hills is a wind and percussion ensemble composed of musicians from Cedar Park, LeanderRound Rock, Pflugerville and the surrounding area. We are a non-audition, volunteer organization of dedicated musicians who love to perform and whose purpose is to provide a cultural and musical experience for the central Texas communities. All our performances are free to the public.

Beginning with 18 dedicated musicians in 1998, Band of the Hills has grown to 80 plus members representing the diverse backgrounds of our community - teachers, blue and white collar workers, executives, students, retirees and business owners. Over the past ten years, we have performed over 50 concerts and have entertained audiences at the Cedar Park Bull's Eye Bash, the Leander, Salado and Cedar Park Christmas family nights, the Georgetown Poppy Festival, the Cedar Park July 4th celebration as well as many concerts at area churches and retirement homes. We even "hit the road" and have perfomed in Dallas and Houston.

While Austin has the title "Live Music Capital of the World", Band of the Hills brings the joy of live music to Cedar Park and the surrounding area. We perform a wide variety of music including big band jazz, marches, classical, Broadway show tunes, traditional band literature and seasonal favorites.

Band of the Hills is a member of the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce and a member of the National Association of Concert Bands. We provide a fun, social environment for musicians to practice and perform their art. Everyone is welcome to be a member as long as they have an instrument and can perform.
